Every month we employ the services of one Mr. Neil Wax to create a vinyl masterpiece for our windows.
This month, in honor of Ms. Brown's birthday, Neil has created a double coat of arms (really the silhouette of an urn with the bottom cut off, he informed us) in deep purple, with the words "Ars Longa, Vita Brevis", Latin for "Art is Long, Life is Short". Shafts of cream colored wheat adorn the urns, a symbol of Ms. Brown's sun sign, Virgo.
Neil said, "I never thought I'd have a place to use my Greek diner font!". We were happy to oblige.
The Gallery is very grateful to Mr. Wax for his brilliance, his humor, and his unparalled aesthetic. He's also good company for lunch.
We hope you enjoy this month's window, Ars Longa, Vita Brevis.
